Date and Locations-
Hunting begins at 5pm on February 13,2026. Weigh-in deadline is 11am on February 14, 2026. Teams can hunt anywhere in Ohio or West Virginia. Weigh-in will be held at The Hocking Valley Sportsman Farm Club- 5984 Enlow Rd Athens, OH 45701.
Sign-up deadline is 5pm on Thursday February 12, 2026
Entry Fees-
Team entry fee is $150 per team. There are (2) side pots- Heaviest and Lightest. Each side pot is $25 each.
Rules-
Teams of 1-3 people. All team members must hunt together.
All State and Local rules and regulations must be followed.
- We will not be using bite/ kill blocks this year!
On Friday, February 13th at 4:30pm all teams will be notified as to a left or right ear that will need to be cut off of each harvested coyote. The ear will need to be removed in a video clearly showing ALL team members and all the coyotes that have been killed up to that point.
Each team is responsible for properly disposing of their coyotes after weigh-in.
Coyotes killed prior to 5pm on February 13, 2026, and Roadkill will not be accepted. Combining of coyotes with people outside of your team is prohibited.
Weigh-in-
Weigh-in deadline is 11am on Saturday, February 14, 2026. At least one team member from your team must be present at weigh-in by 11am for coyotes to be counted. No coyotes will be accepted after 11am.
Prizes and Payouts-
The team with the most coyotes will be the winner. Prize money will be determined by number of teams signed up. Ties will be broken by highest combined weight of all coyotes per team. 1st place- 60%, 2nd place- 20%, 3rd place- 10%, HVS- 10%. 100% of each side pot will be paid out to the winners of heaviest and lightest.
HVS Staff and Organizers have final say in all matters.
